Candidate for Centennial School Distrcit Board, Position 3
Growing up in a working-class family gave me experience with the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion in shaping educational opportunities and outcomes. Access to education, resources, and representation made a difference in families’ lives, and I am committed to ensuring every student has the support needed to succeed, regardless of background, as I want for my children as a parent in the district.
My experience has influenced my leadership by prioritizing inclusivity, advocating for underrepresented voices, and fostering environments where all individuals feel valued. I believe that diverse perspectives strengthen decision-making, and I have worked to build bridges between communities, listening to different experiences to drive meaningful changes.
Every child deserves access to a strong education with every chance we can give them every day. Our schools need leadership that prioritizes student success.
My values align with my priorities:
· Student Achievement – Prioritizing equity-based policies that enhance learning opportunities, support teachers, and ensure all students are prepared for the future.
· Parent & Community Engagement – Strengthening the relationship between schools and families by promoting transparency and open communication.
· Fiscal Responsibility & Smart Budgeting – Using taxpayer dollars efficiently to support classrooms, teachers, and educational programs.
· Safe & Supportive Schools – Advocating for policies that promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
